GTA 6 Appears on Xbox Store with Wishlist Support — Launching in 2026
Rockstar’s Grand Theft Auto VI has officially landed on the Xbox Store, and while preorders aren’t live yet, players on Xbox Series X|S can now add the game to their wishlist. The listing doesn’t bring much new information, but it does confirm that GTA 6 is set to launch sometime in 2026.
This is the first time Xbox players can track the game directly through the store, marking another step forward as Rockstar gears up for one of the most anticipated releases of the generation.
What’s on the Listing?
The description paints the familiar picture: in the sun-soaked state of Leonida, players follow Jason and Lucia, two outlaws caught in a criminal conspiracy that stretches across Vice City and beyond. It’s Rockstar’s most ambitious open world yet — a neon-drenched sandbox full of danger and opportunity.
The listing confirms the game is exclusive to Xbox Series X|S, with no mention of Xbox One support.
No Preorder Yet — and No Play Anywhere Support
Preorders aren’t available yet, but you can add the game to your wishlist now to stay notified. No editions or bonuses have been announced so far.
Also worth pointing out — there’s no support for Xbox Play Anywhere, so players shouldn’t expect a shared license between Xbox and PC platforms at this time.
When Is GTA 6 Coming Out?
Rockstar is still targeting a May 26 2026 release, but no specific date has been confirmed. With the Xbox Store listing now live, it’s likely we’ll see new updates or trailers drop later this year.
